NTB elektronische Geräte GmbH was founded in 1995 and develops and produces digital line-scan X-ray cameras and X-ray scanners. These are used by system integrators and machine builders worldwide as subcomponents in X-ray machines.
NTB XRAY GmbH was founded in 2004 as a spin-off of NTB elektronische Geräte GmbH. Based on the products of the parent company, we design, develop, and manufacture X-ray machines for end users from various fields.
We offer a wide range of solutions, from the universal X-ray cabinet DXC 3000 all the way down to completly customised X-ray machines. Our customers benefit from the long-standing experience of our employees, components manufactured in-house, and customer service that truly deserves the name. As a family-run medium-sized company, we are highly flexible and can respond to customer needs quickly.
As early as 2005, we built our first X-ray machine for the fluoroscopy of paintings on behalf of the University of Lisbon. This system was the precursor to today's Art X-Ray machines. The first "proper" Art X-Ray machine was put into operation by the Städel Museum in Frankfurt in 2013.
To be clear: Yes, we are a private company, and we need to make money. But beyond that, our Art X-Ray machines have a very high importance for us. Due to the different requirements of the customers, each Art X-Ray machine is unique, with its own very special characteristics and properties. Even before the final order is placed, we put a lot of thought into finding the best solution for the customer. And after the order has been placed, we invest a lot of energy in its implementation.
At the end of this process, the machine is set up at the customer’s site, and the first X-ray image is displayed on the monitor... this is always a very special moment for everyone involved: The first radiograph shows the customer that everything is working as desired (or perhaps even better) and the potential of the machine. That’s when we see how excited the customer is about “our baby”. After that, of course, we are very interested in maintaining this enthusiasm for a long time through good after-sales service.
